Given : A line that passes through point (–3, 8)  with slope -2/3

To Find :   equation of a line

Solution:

(y - y₁) = m(x - x₁)

(–3, 8)

=> x₁ = - 3

y₁ = 8

m = -2/3

=> y - 8  = (-2/3)(x - (-3))

=>  y - 8  = -(2/3)(x + 3)

y - 8  = (-2/3)(x + 3)  is the Equation of the line
