Given : two points ( 4,6) and (-2,5)

To find : Slope of line joining points

Solution:

Slope of a line joining the two points

(x₁ , y₁)   &  (x₂ , y₂)

is given by  (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

Here two points are

(4 , 6)   &  (  - 2 , 5)

x₁ = 4 ,  y₁ = 6

x₂ = -2  , y₂ = 5

Slope = ( 5 - 6 )/(-2 - 4)

= -1/(-6)

= 1/6

Slope of the line joining ( 4,6) and (-2,5)  is  1/6
