The slum children seem to have no scope rather than submitting themselves to the job from a very small age.
They do petty jobs like rag-picking as they search for something valuable which they might value a lot.
Slums children are even engaged in the bangle making industries where they seal there fate in the dark room making bangles for all and by the age they reach adulthood they are partially blind.
They also work in fireworks industry where they sometimes lose their lives also.
