the small intestine is longer then the large intestine ,so why it is called small intestine?

The small intestine is longer than the large intestine but it is called small intestine because
small intestine is longer than large intestine in length but width of large intestine is bigger than small intestine
Hence it is called small intestine

The small intestine (small bowel) lies between the stomach and the large intestine (large bowel) and includes the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. The small intestine is so called because its lumen diameter is smaller than that of the large intestine, although it is longer in length than the large intestine
