let the smaller angle be x

then the larger angle will be x+36

sum of two complementary angles id 90°

thus,

x+x+36= 90°

2x+36= 90°

2x= 90°-36°

2x= 54°

x= 54/2

x= 27°

therefore the smaller angle is 27°

and larger angle = 27+36= 63°
