LCM of the divisors= 90

Divide 10000 by 90. We get 111 as the quotient. Ignore the remainder.

111x90 9990.

This is the largest 4 digit number exactly divisible by 9, 15, and 18.

To get the smallest 5 digit number as needed, simply add 90.

We get= 9990+90= 10080

Answer:

The quotient when 99999 is divided by 360 is 277 and the remainder is 279. ∴ Greatest number of five digits divisible by 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 = 99999 - 279 = 99720. ∴ Greatest five digit number that is divisible by 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 = 99999 - 279 = 99720
