given rational number is (1/28) with denominator as 28 .

So,

  • In multiplied fraction numerator must be 28 in order to cancel the denominator .
  • In denominator it should be 1000 to three places of decimal .

then,

→ (1/28) * (28/1000)

→ (1/1000)

→ 0.001

therefore,

→ Smallest rational number = 28/1000 = (7/250) (Ans.)
