the smel of hot sizzling food reaches you several meter away,but to get the smell from cold food you have to go close.Why?​

Answer:

because when the food is cool it does not produces the aroma with the air as hot food does with the rising vapour it also sets the smell thus resulting in smell

When food is hot, diffusion is more. But in cold food diffusion is slow. Hence to get the smell from cold food we have to go close.
