Answer:Like a vibrant society, it has changed a lot and continue to change absorbing new values, discarding some good old-ones and adopting new culture, ignoring its own.

The joint family has gone. People have moved from their ancestral homes to other places far and wide in search of livelihood, education, healthcare, amenities etc. The size of the family has considerably reduced to one or two--child. The living space has shrunk, the living cost has swelled and the livind conditions have deteriorated causing social tensions.

Female education and uplifting has been necessitated and strengthened. They are coming out coming out of their four walls in large numbers for education and employment and are actively participating in sports and politics too. They are being encouraged by their family as well as government. Inter-caste marriages with consent of parents have become common. The considerations of caste, family or dowry have given way to career, contact and convenience.

Festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dash-hara, Saraswati pooja etc. have become more a formality and imported practices of birthdays, marriage-anniversaries etc. are drawing more fanfares now. Relatives are away, so neighbors and friends have become more important, but people still hesitate to mix.

Cell phones and internet have come in a big way to inform and entertain the masses. People have money, but have no time to mix even with family. The urban concentration is rising creating immense problems. The underprivileged class is fast catching up. With the improvements in education facilities, health services, family incomes, infrastructures, the craze for fast foods, cold drinks, alcohol, jeans, jackets, shoes, gadgets, boy/girl friends, parties etc have increased.
