In highly acidic field, we need to neutralize that acidic nature with bases to form salts and water which make the field safe from acidic nature.

Mainly For neutralization , We can apply bases like Calcium oxide(CaO - Quicklime), Calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2 - Slaked lime) , Calcium carbonate ( CaCO3 - Lime stone) and Basic form of Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3 - Magnesia alba ).

Reason - * These bases can destroy acids and they also be destroyed in neutralization process. This reaction leads to formation of Salts and water.

* These types of bases are used in the fields which suffer from
acidic rains and due to excessive usage of acidic fertilizers.

But, Excessive use of these bases results in basicity of field
