The solar cooker is an application of the heat energy of the sun, while solar cells, solar lamps are applications of the light energy of the sun.

A solar cooker needs light to cook food and it comes from the direct ray of sun. The light reflects on mirrored surface in concentrated way and gets converted to heat energy.

It is then send to a small cooking area to cook the food. Solar lamps and solar cells use the light energy of sun. The light is absorbed by the solar panels and then it is converted into electricity.

Solar electricity uses sunlight and not any other natural fuels.
