Solitary Reaper is a romantic nature poem of Scotland by William Wordsworth... In this poem the poet describes a Scottish girl .. Who is reaping and binding the crops in the field and singing a melodious song..which the poet is not able to understand... But he finds it a sad one...he asks the passers . that either quietly listen to her melodious song or gently pass without disturbing her.....he compares her song with the CUCKOO bird and Nightingale.... And finds it much better than the songs of CUCKOO AND NIGHTINGALE......... Hope it helps u
