no solution

Given equations are

2x+3y =8 ...... 1

4x+6y=14 ...... 2

On comparing the equation 1 with a_{1}x+ b_{1}y +c_{1}  = 0 we get a_{1}  = 2\\ b_{1} = 3  \\c_{1}  = -8

On comparing the equation 2 with a_{2}x+ b_{2}y +c_{2}  = 0 we get a_{2} =4 \\ b_{2} = 6 \\ c_{2} =-14

\frac{a_{1} }{a_{2} } = \frac{2}{4} = \frac{1}{2}

\frac{b_{1} }{b_{2} } =  \frac{3}{6} =\frac{1}{2}

\frac{c_{1} }{c_{2} } =\frac{-8}{-14} =\frac{4}{7}

since \frac{a_{1} }{a_{2} } = \frac{{b_{1} } }{b_{2} }   but not equal to  \frac{c_{1} }{c_{2} }

which means the above two equations are inconsistent and have no solution
