 \sf{ \large{ =  > 5x = x + 1 + 7}}

 \sf{ \large{ =  > 5x - x = 8}}

 \sf{ \large{ =  > 4x = 8}}

 \sf{ \large{ =  > x =  \frac{8}{4} }}

  \large{ \boxed{ \sf{ \orange{ \therefore{x = 2}}}}}

Verification:-

 \sf{ \large{5 \times 2 - 7 = 2  + 1}}

 \sf{ \large{ =  > 3 = 3}}

Hence,the value of x = 2
