Given equation :-

2x + y = 6 ...... ( i ) × 6

4x + 6y = 4 ... .. ( ii )

For solving with elimination method we have to equal either the coefficient of x or the coefficient of y .

Here we can equal the coefficient of y by multiplying the ( i ) by 6

So,

Sub ( ii ) from ( i )
