Given:-

Pair of Linear Equations

  • x-y = 2
  • x+y = 4

To Find:-

  • Value of x & y.

Solution:-

x - y = 2 \\ x = 2 + y

Substitute x = 2+y in Equation

x + y = 4 \\ (2 + y) + y = 4 \\ 2 + 2y = 4 \\ 2y = 4 - 2 \\ 2y = 2 \\ y =  \frac{2}{2}  \\ y = 1

  • Value of y ☞ \Large{\red{\bold{1}}}

Substitute Value of y = 1 in any equation.

x - y = 2 \\ x - 1 = 2 \\ x = 2 + 1 \\ x = 3

  • Value of x ☞ \Large{\green{\bold{3}}}
