The sound of thunder is heard 5 seconds after the flash of lighting. If the speed of the sound is 330 m/s find the height of the cloud.

  • Time taken to hear the sound = 5 seconds.
  • Speed of the sound = 330 m/s

we know that,

  • Distance = Speed × Time
  • Distance = 330 m/s × 5 s
  • Distance = 1650 m.

Therefore, the Height of the cloud is 1650 m.
