Given that,

Frequency of sound waves, f = 5000 Hz

To find,

The ratio of wavelength of water and air.

Solution,

The frequency on both the medium is same.

The speed of sound in air, v=343\ m/s

The speed of sound in water, v' = 1550 m/s

The ratio of its wavelength  in water and air is :

\dfrac{v'}{v}=\dfrac{\lambda'}{\lambda}\\\\\dfrac{\lambda'}{\lambda}=\dfrac{1550}{343}\\\\\dfrac{\lambda'}{\lambda}=4.31

So, the ratio of wavelength of water and air is 4.31.
