Explanation:

The SouthWest monsoon winds bring rain to India because of India's tapering topography, it is surrounded on three sides with water. Hence during June, the continent of India gets extreme rays of sun because it shines directly and over the tropic of cancer. hence., a low pressure develops in India with a high pressure in seas and oceans surrounding it ( arabian sea , Indian Ocean and bay of bengal).

The winds pick up moisture from the arabian sea and start moving towards the India.

The Southwest monsoon wind is divided into two parts a) the arabian sea branch that gives rainfall to western part or Western ghar and north India and,.

b) the bay of bengal branch that gives rainfall to the Northeast and east India

hope this is helpful
