SP of article = 3/4 of CP = 3x/4

Loss = CP-SP = x - (3x/4) = (4x - 3x)/4 = x/4

Loss%,
= (Loss/CP) * 100

$\frac{ \frac{x}{4} }{x} \times 100 = \frac{x}{4x} \times 100 \\ = \frac{1}{4} \times 100 = 25\%$

Loss % = 25 %
