Answer:
This poem, written by William Wordsworth, is about seeing the worlds through a childs' eyes. Wordsworth begins the piece by describing the time in his childhood when him and his sister found a two (beautiful) sparrow eggs in a nest near their house (line 7). They visited the nest a lot (line 8) regardless of weather. The sparrows nest seemed to be so beautiful yet almost forbidden; so much so that Emmeline, who was younger than William was apprehensive about going near it. 'A little Prattler among men' refers to the fact that she was just a young chatty child who was innocent and caring. In line 15 Wordsworth is saying how in his later years he realised what a blessing Emmeline and her company was for him as she taught him how to see the world and to act with kindness and love.
