The Speaker of the Lok Sabha may be removed by a resolution of the House moved after 14 days clear notice and passed by majority of all the then members of the House. The motion of removal can be considered and discussed only when it has the support of at least 50 members. These provisions make removal of speaker difficult and provide him security of tenure.
