Such an important mission - going out in Space - definitely has risks. There are big risks that need to be assumed from the beginning.

He would verbalize these thoughts are share them with his colleagues and team. There are things that could go wrong with the ship during take off, for example. It is very important to know all the technical aspects of the ship. For this, he already read all the technical documentation, but of course he assumes there are still things that can happen during the mission, not allowing him to come back. He realize that in this case he would miss his family, but also small things, like the green grass, the smell of a forest or the blue of an ocean. He also assumes he can have health problems during the mission. The mission is very hard and he could develop a serious condition. He attended every meeting for this mission and expressed all his concerns, discussing them with colleagues, trying to minimize all the risks.
