Assume rate of steam be x kmph
As we know time= distance/rate i.e
Given downstream = 26/(10+x) and upstream = 14/(10-x)
On solving we get
= 26/(10+x) = 14/(10+x)
= 130x - 13x = 70 + 7x
x = 3km/hr
