Let the speed of the stream be x km/hr.

Given that speed of the boat in still water = 10km/hr.

Then, Speed upstream = (10 - x)km/hr.

Then, Speed downstream = (10 + x)km/hr.

Given that Time is taken to travel 26km downstream = Time taken to travel 14 km upstream.

= > 26/(10 + x) = 14/(10 - x)

= > 26(10 - x) = 14(10 + x)

= > 260 - 26x = 140 + 14x

= > 260 - 140 = 40x

= > 120 = 40x

= > x = 3.

Therefore the speed of the stream = 3km/hr.

Hope this helps!
