distance travelled = 8.33 km

it is given that, speed of boat in still water is 17.5 km/h

and rate of current is 2.5 km/h

we have to find out distance travelled downstream in 25 min.

speed of boat in downstream direction = (speed of boat in still water + speed of current)

= (17.5 + 2.5) km/h

= 20 km/h

so, distance travelled in downstream direction = 20km/hr × 25 min

= 20 km/h × 25/60 h

= 25/3 km

= 8.33 km
