Time taken by bus is 496.8 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed of a bus = 40 \frac{1}{4} =\frac{161}{4} km/hr

Distance covered by bus =\frac{1000}{3} km

Time = \frac{Distance}{Speed}

So, Time taken  = \frac{\frac{1000}{3}}{\frac{161}{4}}

Time taken =8.28 hours

1 hour = 60 minutes

So, 8.28 hours = 8.28 \times 60 =496.8 minutes

Hence Time taken by bus is 496.8 minutes
