Given

  • Mass = 1500 kg
  • Initial Velocity = 36 km/h
  • Final Velocity = 72 km/h
  • Time = 10 sec

To Find

  • Force acting on it

Solution

● v = u + at

● F = ma

Acceleration of the body :

→ v = u + at

→ 72 = 36 + a × 10

→ 72-36 = 10a

→ 36 = 10a

→ 36/10 = a

→ Acceleration = 3.6 m/s²

Force Applied :

→ F = ma

→ F = 1500 × 3.6

→ F = 5400 N

Question:-

  • The speed of a car being 1500 kilograms increases from 36 km per hour to 72 km per hour uniformly in 10 seconds what will be the force acting on it.

Answer:-

Given,

Mass (m) = 1500kg

Initial velocity (u) = 36km/h

Final velocity = (v) = 72 km/h

Time (t) = 10 seconds

To Find:-

  • Force acting on it

Solution:-

  • v = at
  • f = ma

Acceleration of the body :-

v = u + at

72 = 36 + a (10)

72 = 36 + 10a

72 - 36 = 10a

36 = 10a

36/10 = a

3.6 = a

Acceleration = 3.6 m/s²

Force applied:

=> f = ma

=> f = 1500*3.6

=> 5400 N
