◇ Required answer :-

Since speed=distance/time. In given situation we have speed=5 m/s and time 1 hour but since speed is in seconds so we have to convert 1 hour into secconds.

I hour=60 min×60 secs each i.e 3600 seconds in 1 hour

Now speed=distance/time

Distance=speed×time

I.e x=5×3600=18000 meters

I.e in 1 hour it will cover 18 km.

Hope it helps

Have a awesome day

Given:

  • the speed of a car is 5 m/s.

 \\ \\

To Find:

  • then the distance covered in 2 hours and 30 mins

 \\ \\

Solution:

◐ Now, here we have got the speed of the car in m/s let's convert it into km/phr as we have to find the distance per km.

 \\ \\

{ : \implies} \sf1m \:  per \: sec  =   \cancel\dfrac{3600}{1000}  \: km \: per \: hr \:  \:  \:  \: \\  \\  \\ { : \implies} \sf \: 1m \: per \: sec = 3.6km \: per \: hr \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\  \\  \\  { : \implies} \sf \: 5m \: per \: sec = 3.6 \times 5 \: km \: per \: hr  \: \\  \\  \\ { : \implies} \sf \: 5m \: per \: sec = 18km \: per \: hr \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

 \\ \\

 \therefore{ \underline{ \pink{  \text{5m \: per \: second = 18km \: per \: hour}}}}

 \\ \\

Now the speed of the car is 18 km / phr

➺ So, we have to find the distance

{\mathfrak{\underline{\pink{As \: we \:know \:that}}}}

 \\ \\

 \longrightarrow \: \sf distance = speed \times time

 \\ \\

Let's substitute the values now ,

 \\ \\

{ : \implies} \sf \: distance = 18 km \: per \: hr \: \times 2 \frac{1}{2}  \:hr \:  \\  \\  \\ { : \implies} \sf \: distance  = 45km \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

 \\ \\

 {\therefore {\rm{\orange{ \: the \: distance \: travelled \: by \: the \: car \:  = 45km \bigstar}}}}

 \\ \\

\large\rm{More \:to \:know:}

  • Speed = distance / time
  • Time = distance / speed
  • SI unit of speed = m/s
  • SI unit of time = second
  • SI unit of distance = meter

hope this helps
