Required Answer :-

Given :-

  • Mass (m) = 2000kg
  • Speed \sf{ {v}_{1}} = 50m/s
  • Speed \sf{ {v}_{2}} = 70m/s

To find :-

change in momentum

Solution :-

Now,

The change in momentum

:\implies\sf ΔP=m(Δv)

:\implies\sf ΔP=m \times ({v}_{2} - {v}_{1})

:\implies\sf ΔP=2000 \times 20

:\implies\sf ΔP=40000

:\implies\sf ΔP=4 \times {10}^{4} kgm/s

Change in momentum = 4 × 10⁴ kgm/s
