Initial speed(u)=120m/s

Final speed(v)=54km/h=54*5/18

= 15m/s

Time(t)=10s

a = \frac{v - u}{t}

a=120-15/10

=105/10

=10.5 m/s^2

Answer:-

  • Initial velocity=120m/s=u
  • Final velocity=v=54km/h

Convert it to m/s

\\ \tt\longmapsto 54\times \dfrac{5}{18}

\\ \tt\longmapsto 15m/s

  • Time taken=t=10s

We know that

\boxed{\sf Acceleration=\dfrac{v-u}{t}}

\\ \tt\longmapsto Acceleration=\dfrac{15-120}{10}

  • Body retards here

\\ \tt\longmapsto Retardation=\dfrac{-105}{10}

\\ \tt\longmapsto Reatrdation=-10.5m/s^2
