Speed of light in medium 1 = 0.7*speed of light in vacuum

We know that, Absolute refractive index = Speed of light in vacuum/speed                                                                                       of light in medium 1

= speed of light in vacuum/ 0.7*speed of light
                                                                                 in vacuum
                                              = 1/0.7
                                              = 10/7 = 1.42
