The speed of light in air is 3*10^8 m/s.
In medium X its speed is 2*10^8 m/s and
in medium Y the speed of light is
2.5 * 1068 m/s. Calculate:
as Refractive Index x with respect to air .
by Refractive Index y with respect to air-
ex Refractive Index y with respect to x.

Explanation:

refractive index of x w.r.t. air = c/v

= 3/2

=1.5

refractive index of y w.r.t. air = c/v

=6/5

=1.2

refractive index of y w.r.t. x = v2/v1

= 2.5/2

=1.25
