The speed of light in glass is 2×10 8 m/s and that in water is 2.25×10 8 m/s. find the refractive
index of glass with respect to water.

RFg = c/2x10^8 = 1.5
RFw = c/2.25x10^8 = 1.33
Diving them both 1.5/1.33 ~ 9/8
Hence the refractive index of glass with respect to water = 9/8
