Speed of sound in water = 1440m per second
Time = 1.5s
Distance = 2 x depth. eq.1
let depth be 'd'
Speed = Distance/time
1440 = Distance/1.5
1440 x 1.5 = Distance
2160 m = Distance
Distance = 2 x depth from eq.1
2160 = 2 x depth
Depth = 2160/2
Depth = 1080m
Hope it helps !
