I) Speed of sound in steel = 5000m/s

Time = 3 seconds

Distance travelled = speed × time

= 5000×3 = 15000 m = 15 km

II) Speed of sound in water = 1500 m/s

Distance travelled = 15000 m

Distance = speed × time

Time = distance / speed

=> 15000/1500

=> 10 seconds

The time taken = 10 seconds
