Let the fixed distance (one way) be x

Upstream:

Speed = ( 11 - 8 ) km/h = 3 km/h

Time = Distance ÷ Speed

Time = x/3

Downstream:

Speed = ( 11 + 8) km/h = 19 km/h

Time = Distance ÷ Speed

Time = x/19

Solve x:

The total time is 11 hours

x/3 + x/19 = 11

22/57 x = 11

x = 11 ÷ 22/57

x = 28.5 km

Answer: The distance is 28.5 km one way and 57 km both way.

dineshjaiswalkp9kxvq: 56
dineshjaiswalkp9kxvq: bro
TooFree: Ah .. because it includes both ways? To and back?
dineshjaiswalkp9kxvq: but fir v 57 hi hoga na
dineshjaiswalkp9kxvq: but 57 hua na
TooFree: because I did it in fraction.

If it is done in decimal:

x/3 + x/19 = 11

22/57 x = 11

0.39x = 11

x = 11 ÷ 0.39

x = 28 km
