Explanation:

Given:-

Speed of two cars are represented by p and q.

To find:-

The difference in the distance travelled by the two cars in 4s.

Solution:-

➝ Distance covered by car (p) = Average velocity × Time

➝ s = u+v/2 × t

➝ s = (0+6)/2 × 4

➝ s = 6/2 × 4

➝ s = 3 × 4

➝ s = 12

Therefore, The distance covered by car (p)= 12m.

Distance covered by car (q)= Average velocity× Time

➝ s = u+v/2 × t

➝ s = 3+3/2 × 4

➝ s = 6/2 × 4

➝ s = 3 × 4

➝ s = 12

Therefore, The distance covered by car (q) = 12m.

Therefore, Both cars do not travel any distance at 4s.

Speed of car (p) in 2s = 3m/s

Speed of car (q) in 2s = 3m/s

Therefore, In conclusion we can say that Speed of both cars at 2s is the same.

Properties Used:-

  • Average velocity = initial velocity+ final velocity/2
  • Average Velocity= u+v/2
  • Distance= s
  • Final Velocity= v
  • Initial velocity= u
