An object is said to be in uniform motion if it maintains a constant velocity...

A speedometer measures the speed of the vehicle at a particular point of time...

(speed is a scalar quantity, i.e, only magnitude...

velocity is a vector quantity, i.e, magnitude and direction)

Hence, it is unsure if the object is in uniform motion...

if it moves in the same direction while covering equal distance in equal intervals of time,it is said to be in uniform motion...if not then no.
