the splitting of d-orbital in a transition elements result in excitation of electron by absorbing some wavelength of rediation and the reflected light will become the colour of that element so the question is that when the exited electron de-exite after some time then it will emit the same wavelength rediation which is first absorbed but why the colour of that rediation don't appear?
