The Spokesman of the history of Subaltern group is Ranajit Guha. He is a historian of the South Asia. He was hugely influential in Subaltern Studies group.  

He was also an editor of many early anthologies of the group.  He moved from India in 1959 to UK. The most important thing about this historian is that he was the reader in history at Sussex University.
