steel is resistant to high extension while copper break easily .

steel has high tensile strength

hey there...

here is ur answer ....

spring is generally made with very thin wires. by wires I meant very thin threads of that particular metal.

if we make copper into that thin wires it will tear easily and also copper elasticity is not very much.

but in case of steel it can be made into thin threads, and also has very high elasticity.
