The square of the hypotenuse of a square is 128cm². find the length of the side of the square.

given,

square of hypotenuse = 128cm²

find the side of square.

we know that,

in a square the sides are equal,

so let the side be x

then,

(the hypotenuse is basically the diagonal of the square, so by using the Pythagoras theorem we can find the side, as the interior angles of a square is are 90°)

x² + x² = 128

2x² = 128

x² = 128/2

x² = 64

x = √64

x = 8cm

hence the sides are 8cm
