GIVEN:

(a-b)²

HOW TO SOLVE?

 =  \sqrt{(a - b)}  {}^{2}  \\  = ( {a - b}^{2})  {}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  \\  = (a - b) {}^{2}  {}^{ \times  \frac{1}{2} }  \\  = (a - b) {}^{1}  \\  = a - b

Square root of (a-b)² is a-b.
