Yes ,The stabilization of half filled d-orbital is more pronounced then that of p-orbital.

We know that energy of an electron in an orbital usually depends on the attraction towards the nuclear charge & the electrostatic interaction of their electrons.  Also the Stability of half filled orbitals depends on exchanging of energy, which is the process in which energy is released (exchanging of electrons with the same spin)
⇒ In case of half filled d orbital , at the time of exchanging the electron large amount of energy is released. While in p-orbital exchange takes place only in 3 orbital

Stability of half filled orbitals can be explained on the basis of exchange energy which is nothing but the energy released during exchange of electrons with the same spin. In case of half filled d orbital, maximum possibility in exchange of electrons cause large energy to release and that in p orbital, exchange can take place in three orbitals. Hencephalitis half filled d orbital is more stable than half filled p orbital.
