Biomass is a term used in ecology to show transfer of energy in ecosystem primary

producers are the source of the energy. Plants are primary producers, they are consumed by primary consumers which are mainly herbivores .The primary consumers directly depend on primary producers to get energy to sustain themselves, as primary producers increases it will automatically lead to increase in the energy in primary consumers level .
