If the standard electrode potential of the cell or Eocell of the reaction is positive, then the reaction is spontaneous and feasible.

Oxidation half:  2Br− → Br2 + 2e−                EO = −1.09 V

Reduction half: I2 + 2e− → 2I−                     EO = 0.54 V

So, Eocell = -0.55 V

Thus this reaction is not feasible because the value of electrode potential is negative. i.e. Eocell = -0.55 V
