Solution:

Let say actual hours (AH)   =   X

actual rate was rs 1.30

=>  Actual Pay  = 1.3X

standard hourly rate Is rs 1.40

=> Standard Pay = 1.4X

variances was rs 600

=> 1.4X - 1.3X  = 600

=> 0.1X  =  600

=> X = 6000

actual hours (AH) were 6000
