Given : The statement"8%  ₹100 shares at ₹105 applies for the shares of a company .

To Find : Sum that one has to invest to buy 500 shares

the number of shares one can buy for ₹10500

Solution:

The statement"8%  ₹100 shares at ₹105

=> FV ( Face Value ) =  ₹100

   MV ( Market Value) = ₹105

8%   Means = 8 % Dividend on FV =  ₹ 8

Sum that one has to invest to buy 500 shares

= number of shares * MV

= 500 * 105

= ₹ 52500

number of shares one can buy for ₹10500   = 10500/105  = 100
