Very few roads are as old as the station road of the town.

There are three types of Degree of comparison.

1) Positive degree:

Positive Degree is used for only one person, item or object.

2) Comparative Degree:

Comparative Degree is used to compare between two persons, items or objects.

Ex.Ram is no better than Shyam.

3) Superlative Degree:

Superlative Degree is used to compare between three or more persons, objects or items.

E.g. Ram is the biggest boy in class.

‘No other Road of the town is as old as the Station Road’ is a positive degree of the given sentence.

Explanation:

  • There are three degrees in English. They are positive degree, comparative degree and superlative degree. The three degrees for best are: good better, and best.
  • The comparative degree is better. Hence the Statement should start with, "No other road of the town" then the verb is to be used and finally the Statement should end with 'as the Station Road'. The rest of the statement is to remain as it is.
